Welcome to Avalon B&B, your Key West Bed and Breakfast, located on the quieter end of historic Duval Street, just one block away from the Southernmost point in the continental USA and only steps away from the beach. The new Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory is just across the street, and attractions such as the Hemingway House and the Lighthouse Museum are just a leisurely stroll away.
Avalon B&B is a lovingly restored Victorian house built in 1895, boasting high colonial style ceilings and decorated with a tropical elegance and homey atmosphere. Relax and read a book from our exchange library in one of our poolside Adirondack chairs, or enjoy a glass of wine on our front porch overlooking the quieter end of Duval Street. Enjoy our tranquil island atmosphere but know you are just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Duval Street's nightlife and the famous Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square.

Avalon B&B is the perfect Key West accommodation and your home away from home. Our rooms offer clean and comfortable accommodations with a tropical island flair, in keeping with the home's historic background. All our rooms are nicely appointed and all feature private bathrooms, mini refrigerators, ceiling fans, A/C, cable TV, telephone, wood floors, and over-the-bed canopy nets for that romantic touch. Choose from rooms with one or two queen size beds located in the main house or our smaller queen rooms located poolside for those on a budget.
We also have a tastefully decorated private cottage with King size bed located behind the main house which opens up onto our pool. Perfect for that first or second Honeymoon, or for those looking for a little more space and privacy.

Able to accommodate up to 40 people, the Avalon is ideally suited for that small wedding or family reunion. Corporate incentive groups also welcome. Call for more information.

Start your day off right with our continental breakfast buffet, served on our front porch every morning. Sit at the marble-topped tables set up café style on our front porch overlooking Duval Street, or take it out to the side deck where you will be canopied by our tropical foliage. Enjoy an assortment of bagels, breads, and sweet pastries with accompaniments. Assorted seasonal fruits and freshly sliced pineapple and cantaloupe are always present, along with granola, cereal, coffee, juice, and assorted teas.

Our friendly and knowledgeable hosts Yvonne and Doug will be happy to accommodate your needs and help you plan the perfect vacation. Ask us about dining, snorkeling, fishing, and diving, or Key West's many historical sites and island tours. With over 18 years of combined island experience, we are sure to point you in the right direction.

Built in 1895 and used as a Cuban Club and the Cuban Club Hotel, the house was converted into St. Joseph's Hospital in 1919 by the owner, Cuban physician Nilo Conrado Pintado. From 1926 the house enjoyed life as the elegant Ocean View Hotel and Ocean View Apartments. It closed in the late 1940's and reopened in 1952 as the Casa Blanca Boarding House. During Key West's depression era it gradually declined until closure in the late 1980's. It has since been lovingly renovated and restored by the present owner, including the addition of a small pool, while maintaining the old world charm and elegance that is fitting its history.
